PUBLISHER'S NOTES
August
This month's featured story is our second KId Vee tale: Hotel of Death, by Gary Phillips.
Gary is an award-winning author of adult mysteries and a frequent contributor to new story collections that keep the legacy of pulp genre fiction alive. In Kid Vee, Gary has created a street-smart, youthful superhero for the metropolis of the left coast.
————————————————————————
After being given powers from the Founder's Stone by the retired Victory Angel, Andronicus Edwards has assumed his place as L.A.'s one and only superhero—Kid Vee.
The Angel is missing, and Edwards still needs to get his superhero act together—he has no costume, no inner sanctum, no Kid Vee trademark, and no T-shirts or bobbleheads. He's still an orderly at the Willow Manner nursing home where his friend Jerry Gertz lives. Jerry was the victim of Nazi genetic experiments that had turned him into the super-villain known as The Flame.
When Jerry's granddaughter is kidnapped, Kid Vee must swing into action and rescue her from The Hotel of Death.

 |
"iPulp takes fast-paced fiction to the kids, where they live, on the Internet. What a perfect idea. Home delivery. May it do for literacy what it did for pizza." |

 |
Gary Phillips
